Upcycled Mandarin begins where lemon does, sunny rind under a sharp blade drawing you in. At the core, cedarwood reads as red-gold cedar carrying thin incense, lavender drifting in as blue blossoms with cool camphor shadows. Toward the top, orange blossom reads as courtyard blossoms drifting through warm shade and cardamom as sweet spice rising from split pods. In the end it is dry and grounded, a woody, spicy core brightened by aromatic herbs and citrus — the feeling of a courtyard lunch in spring.
